Senior School Curriculum Evening Year 11 2018

The Senior School Curriculum Information Evening at St Paul’s High School is an evening for current and prospective families who are seeking a quality and broad curriculum for HSC study. The purpose is to give parents and students the opportunity to see what we offer for our senior curriculum as well as gain a further understanding of the HSC and beyond. Presenters will include teachers and Leaders of Pedagogy for the various courses that we can run along with Craig McLoughlin our Careers Advisor and Roisin McVeigh, our Assistant Principal – Teaching and Learning.

Current students will receive a Senior Curriculum Handbook before the evening. Families who might like to attend from outside our current cohort are able to contact the School Office and we will be more than happy to provide the handbook before the night.

The evening will begin in the St Paul’s Hall, for an orientation briefing followed by an opportunity to attend short sessions where staff will provide a more detailed outline of the courses on offer. These sessions will be in a variety of areas within the school so it also offers newcomers a chance to see our learning environments.

There are exciting changes to the HSC. These new initiatives include changes to the way that assessment is conducted both at the school level and with the HSC exam itself, along with significant changes to current courses and the introduction of new and exciting courses, giving our young people more choice and more opportunity.

The Senior School Curriculum Information Evening is an excellent opportunity to see first-hand the quality Catholic education that we offer at St Paul’s High School, Booragul. Past students have achieved excellent results and have gained pathways to Universities and tertiary institutions Australia-wide, gained traineeships with outstanding companies and are young men and women of faith, spirit and integrity.  We welcome the opportunity to showcase what we do at St Paul’s and look forward to meeting new families on the 13th of June.
